SIFA Statement of Solidarity with the Palestinian People

The Italian Society for Analytic Philosophy (SIFA) expresses profound concern regarding the extremely serious and deteriorating humanitarian situation affecting the Palestinian people, especially in Gaza.

As an academic and scientific society dedicated to promoting human rights, academic freedom, and open intellectual exchange, we stand in solidarity with the Palestinian population, whose lives, rights, and fundamental freedoms are severely threatened by the ongoing violence.

We strongly emphasize the universal importance of safeguarding academic freedom, freedom of research, and the right to education for everyone, even and especially during times of conflict. We express particular concern over the devastating consequences of this violence on civilian infrastructure, including universities, schools, and research institutions.

We stand together with the international academic community in demanding swift and concrete measures aimed at alleviating suffering, protecting human life, and ensuring respect for human dignity.  SIFA calls urgently for an immediate ceasefire, respect for international humanitarian law, and efforts to restore conditions of peace, dignity, and security for all civilians involved
